How to find your Pinterest board link and make the board public
Updated 3 October 2026
Apps that read a Pinterest board need two things: the board's link, and the board set to public.
Copy the link on a computer
- Go to pinterest.com and open the board.
- Copy the address from the browser. It looks like
pinterest.com/yourname/board-name/.
Copy the link in the Pinterest app
In the board, use the share button, then Copy link. You'll get a short link like pin.it/…. tak accepts it as it is. Some websites can't follow short links; if one refuses it, open the link in your browser and copy the full address instead.
Switch a secret board to public
- Go to the board and use the … menu beside its name.
- Choose Edit board.
- Turn off Keep this board secret and save.
Links that won't work
- One pin (
pinterest.com/pin/…): go to the board it was saved to. - A profile (
pinterest.com/yourname/): open one of its boards. - A secret board: make it public first, as above.
